David Aldridge is a jazz drummer, composer, educator, and clinician, based in Austin, Texas, who has studied with Peter Erskine, Terry Bozzio, and Jim Chapin. 

 

In addition to the drum set, David plays hand percussion, guitar, bass, and keyboards.

 

An accomplished writer, David is the author of The Elements of Rhythm, Vols. I & II  (a comprehensive rhythm pattern theory resource for all musicians). David teaches his unique approach to rhythm pattern theory in seminars and individual instruction.
