I live in Austin, Texas and teach drum set as well as the basics of rhythm pattern theory. My drum set emphasis is on odd meter explorations and polyrhythms. I also focus on hand speed and strength development. Examples of this may be seen on the Videos link, Six-stroke rolls.

 

I use my books, The Elements of Rhythm, Vols. I & II, to explore rhythm pattern theory. We use Volume I to  discover where the basic patterns come from, and we use Volume II to discover counting syllables, their combinations, and the relative aspect of notation.
